We are the largest and newest neighborhood association in the 13th district. Our association consists of approximately 1,387 households located within the boundaries of Layton to the north, 18th Street to the east, Grange to the south and 27th Street to the west.

Neighborhood Association Meeting. . .

The next neighborhood association meeting is scheduled for October 9th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Sholes Education Complex, 4965 S. 20th Street. The topics for this meeting are to discuss Gang Awareness with the Milwaukee Police Department, Review the Association By-Laws and Elect a President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary for the coming 2009 year.

Change is on the way!
I-94 North/South Corridor

Very shortly you may notice changes to the highways surrounding our neighborhood. The DOT has plans in place to redo interchanges and highways surrounding the City Meadows Neighborhood. If you have questions about the projects to take place over the next several years or if you are curious about what's to come check out the link below. City Meadows
goes Green.

The City Meadows Neighborhood Association will be discontinuing flyer distribution for upcoming meetings. This is in an attempt to cut back the amount of paper that we use. The entire neighborhood consists of approximately 1300 households which is a considerable amount of paper. What we would like to do is contact the majority of our residents with email and this website. If you would like to be added to the City meadows email list, please email CITYMEADOWS@CITYMEADOWS.ORG. or stay tuned to the website for updates. You can also download the City Meadows toolbar for your internet browser. This toolbar will send alerts as to when meetings are taking place. You can download the toolbar by <CLICKING HERE>.

Crime!?
Do you see something suspicious?

During our April Neighborhood Association meeting District 6 Captain Gaglione was present to answer criminal concerns in and around the neighborhood. He mentioned that our neighborhood is a great neighborhood to live in. He did mention that if you see somebody or something suspicious to please call the District 6 Non-Emergency number at 933-4444. As always if a crime is in progress please call 911!

Captain Gaglione also noted the problems with traffic in our neighborhood. He mentioned that district 6 is working very hard to curb the amount of traffic violators. If you feel there is a traffic problem on your street or specifically in front of your house, the best method to help the police is to take note of the general times of the occurrences and notify the District 6 office with this information. This helps the squads to target certain areas at certain times.

Finally, if you are interested in obtaining "SLOW DOWN" yard signs for your yard please contact Community Liason Officer Jesus Gloria and he will be sure to get you these signs. His number is 935-7268. Captain Gaglione noted that these signs are statistically proven to be useful!
